Stellendal Guest House

When you arrive at Stellendal Guest House, an orchestra of cicadas will play for you in our leafy courtyard. The serenity of the garden with the old trees is wonderful and being in the centre of Somerset West, restaurants are only walking distance away.

The grandeur of the old Cape Dutch House with the long sweeping corridors and the tinkling chandeliers is combined with a modern ambience of fairy lights and jolly Picasso-style paintings.

The seven rooms and the three cottages are all individually decorated with a tasteful mix of African pieces and modern styled furniture and decorations.

There is a variety of communal sitting areas in the house — the grand old lounge with gilt mirrors, a big fireplace, sofa and a piano (which guests can play if they want to), the library with a variety of books, outside on “de stoep”, the terraces in the garden and finally the beautiful pool area.

Stellendal Guest House is a lovely place to discover the Winelands, Cape Town and the Peninsula or to play golf on one of the beautiful golf courses.
